Mr. A’s

Math Tutoring

Hi! I’m Thomas Agase, and I’ve been helping students build their math skills and confidence since 2020. After graduating from Marquette University with a degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education, I started tutoring because I love seeing that “lightbulb moment” when a tricky concept finally clicks.

I began my teaching career in the fall of 2020 teaching Math and Science at Saint Andrew School for two years. I continued teaching in the city and spent two years teaching Math and Engineering at DePaul College Prep in Chicago.

Now I’m proud to teach Engineering and Computer Science at Canyon Crest Academy—the #1 public high school in San Diego (U.S. News & World Report). Along the way, I earned California teaching credentials in 6th–12th grade Mathematics, Information and Communication Technologies, and Engineering and Architecture.

For the past five years, I’ve continued to run my run my private tutoring business, working with students in grades 5–12. Whether it’s helping someone catch up, get ahead, or ace their next big test, my goal is always the same: make math feel less intimidating and a lot more manageable.

Let’s work together to “Get an A with Mr. A!”
